While my credentials reflect my dedication, my true strength is the genuine care and seasoned skill I invest in you. I bring deep empathy and clinical expertise to our work together, drawing from my 15 years of experience as a Doctor of Psychology with an Ed.D. in counseling psychology. As a Texas LPC and a Nationally Certified Counselor, my foundation began at Virginia State University, a proud HBCU, where I earned a BS in psychology. Several years after graduating, I earned an MA in School Counseling/Psychology with a focus on marriage and family therapy.
Lifelong experience as a professional dancer and choreographer, allows me to foster deep, creative healing that honors your individual journey. My perspective is further shaped by my work as a professor, wherein I study the psychological impact of media on women’s self-esteem, allowing me to help navigate modern pressures while protecting your mental well-being.
Everyone deserves to have a trusted support or guide along life’s journey––counseling can be a place to find just that. Counseling can be like a cool drink of water in a desert oasis, helping you rejuvenate and find rest for your soul, while you’re working towards where you want to be.
Our current and past life circumstances can often leave us with feelings of stress, anxiety, and sadness. These emotions can be confusing and difficult to manage and process. My goal is to come alongside clients to reach personal goals, using warmth, understanding, and acceptance. I will work with you, with you in the driver’s seat, to set goals, explore and gain understanding of yourself, process your emotions in a safe space, reframe negative beliefs about yourself, and find solutions that work for you. I enjoy working with clients with a variety of concerns including general anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
I have a variety of experience providing individual, family, and couples therapy to a range of clients from young children to adults. Having worked in environments including the school system, outpatient facilities and private practice, I have a solid understanding of how to collaborate with clients to identify their needs and provide appropriate support or connect to the right community resources. Throughout my career, I have gained experience with navigating conflict resolution, addressing general DSM-5 diagnosis’, and helping clients increase emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
I want my clients to know that therapy with me is a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space. I understand that everyone’s journey is different, and I meet each person exactly where they are. My role isn’t to “fix” you, but to walk beside you as we explore challenges, build on strengths, and uncover solutions together.
As a veteran and counselor, I know what it means to face change, loss, and uncertainty—and I bring that understanding into my work. I believe healing happens through connection, honesty, and compassion. Whether we’re talking, creating, or using play in the therapy room, my goal is to help you feel heard, respected, and empowered.
I also want you to know that I’m real and relatable—I laugh, I listen deeply, and I genuinely care about your progress. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin; you just have to be willing to start.

I believe that you have all you need inside you to be exactly who you want to be. My job is to help you uncover that strength and ability through listening to you and all your parts, asking questions and accepting you unconditionally for who you are. We will work together to uncover the beliefs about yourself that you have formed over time through life experiences, begin to challenge them, help all parts of you learn to feel safe, and work to form new beliefs and add new ways of coping that benefit you in the here and now to build the life you want for yourself.

Hi, I’m Devin. I’m happy that you’re here, and I want you to know that reaching out for support is a meaningful first step.
I believe therapy should feel welcoming, collaborative, and human—not like a job interview. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, explore your strengths, and begin building greater confidence in your ability to heal, grow, and move forward.
I work with individuals who are navigating several challenges in life such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, relationship or friendship challenges, and low self-esteem. Together, we can identify practical tools and coping skills that support your emotional wellbeing while also making space to understand the deeper experiences that may be contributing to what you are feeling.
Most importantly, I believe you should have a voice in your healing process. You deserve to feel supported, empowered, and more in control of your life. When you are ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you begin taking steps toward healing, redemption, and a stronger sense of self.
Hello! I have had the pleasure of working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings (school, outpatient, religious, and military).
