While working on my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, I worked with individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities and then with individuals under psychiatric care. After graduate school, I was a clinician for individuals and families in the Miami-Dade Community where I provided therapy focusing on addressing trauma, life stressors, anxiety, depression, and development of life skills and coping mechanisms. I then worked with patients and families navigating complex medical issues, life transitions, and grief. I specialize in working with individuals living with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, trauma, life transitions, chronic medical conditions, LGBTQIA+, and women’s mental health.

With 13 years of experience, I provide compassionate, culturally responsive therapy for adults. As a Marriage, Family, and Couples Ph.D. candidate and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I support clients navigating anxiety, trauma, relationships, stress, and life transitions. I am fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi and value creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I bring several years of experience supporting individuals through a variety of mental health challenges. My background includes working in community mental health agencies, hospitals and most recently, the public school system.

Dr. Jonas is a practicing Psychotherapist and Licensed Therapist in the state of Florida and a well-known Palm Beach county entrepreneur in the real estate and hospitality industry sectors – owning and operating multiple corporate entities since 1994.

Through motivational interviewing I help clients discover solutions to their problems and help improve overall functioning while living with day-to-day stress.
